Job description:

Our client is a successful regional house builder, developing homes throughout the South East.

Currently looking to strengthen the Technical team with a Design and Planning Executive.

The role will entail the preparation and submission of planning applications, preparation of layout and house type drawings.

Duties will include:

§ Appraisal layouts

§ Liaison with land department to maximise potential

§ Detailed negotiations with Local Authority and other parties

§ Planning applications

§ Responsibility for external architects, briefing, negotiation of fees, assessment of work

§ House type design

You should ideally have an understanding of the development process, along with a background of performing similar duties for Residential schemes.

The successful candidate will need to be focused, energetic and ambitious, ideally have some design flair and ability to also prepare working drawings and should be able to demonstrate their skill and competence in this area.

There will be a need to have a flexible attitude to achieving the required results in accordance with set programme targets, with a willingness to tackle any task and work as part a team.
