Job description:
My client is a highly successful house builder developing large residential and mixed use schemes within the South East and Central London.
Due to expansion an excellent opportunity has arisen to join as Senior Technical Manager to be based on site in London with responsibility to manage the Pre-and Post Construction Planning and Design process, incorporating cost-effective, efficient and buildable design solutions.
Duties will include:
* Set, monitor and manage the design delivery targets.
* Hold Design Technical Meetings and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders and third parties.
* Ensure cost-effective design is utilised, keeping 'buildability' requirements in mind.
* Monitor the discharge of Planning Conditions and Building Control conditions.
* Monitor and manage compliance with section agreements, wayleaves and the like.
* Monitor quality standards in conjunction with the Project Director.
* Set a Technical fee budget in conjunction with the Project Commercial Manager, to include consultants' fees, section costs, and third party costs (e.g. NHBC, Party Wall etc) and prepare monthly cost reconciliations for technical fee expenditure.
You will have significant experience within the High rise Development and Construction industry preferably working for a house builder and have a high work ethic and professional standards. You will have a passion for quality, high attention to detail, a strong character and the ability to challenge the norm and innovate.
